Super 8 By Wyndham Schenectady - Albany Area Hotel, Schenectady

My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The location was convenient, close to where I needed to go in Buffalo, but the noise from the traffic was quite noticeable. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff, though there was a mix-up with a charge that was not authorized. The dining options were sufficient but lacked variety considering the prices. The rooms were decent, but they had a musty smell upon entering, and it would have been better if they were cooler.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not as clean as I'd hoped, with multiple hairs in the bathtub and dust and grime over the desk and TV. The room felt relatively small and crowded with two beds. Despite this, the service was excellent. The staff were very cooperative and moved me to a room that smelled 50% less moldy. They were nice, accommodating, and even provided helpful tips for future stays. The location was convenient for our trip, close to the highway, although food options were limited nearby. As for dining, the choices were basic and not very appetizing.

The hotel was a good price for just an overnight stay, but the rooms smelled like old smoke and mold, requiring me to air them out constantly. However, the housekeeping was diligent in refreshing the room daily with clean towels and made beds, although it remained hot and muggy despite the AC being on.
